Ambassador Sanjiv Tandon presented his credentials to His Excellency MrFaure Essozimna Gnassingbé, President of the Togolese Republic

On 23 July 2021, Mr. Sanjiv Tandon, Ambassador of India in Togo presented his credentials to the President of the Togolese Republic, H.E. Mr. Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé.

President Gnassingbé warmly welcomed Ambassador Tandon to Lomé and hoped that his arrival will further strengthen the bilateral ties between India and Togo. The President fondly recalled his visit to India in March 2018 regarding his participation in the founding conference of the International Solar Alliance and his meeting with India’s leadership.

Ambassador Tandon in his remarks thanked the Togolese Government and the people of Togo for warm welcome he has received since arrival. He highlighted the expanding development partnership between the two countries and emphasized how people-to-people ties remain an important chord that binds the two nations together as a society. Ambassador Tandon assured President of his commitment to expand the bilateral relationship, including economic and trade ties, among others.
