Development Partnership: Ambassador’s visit to North of Togo

Ambassador visited the north of Togo to cities of Kara, Mango and Dapaong on 26 March 2023 to review progress of the US $52 million Transmission Line and associated Substation project under Government of India-Exim Bank supported Line of Credit. The project is an important component of ongoing development partnership between India and Togo.

During his visit, Ambassador also visited the Indian company Steel Cube manufacturing plant in Kara on 26 March. The company is expanding its existing facility to increase the annual production of iron rod to 75,000 tons from the existing 30,000 tons. The expansion also includes an oxygen plant and it will create more than 300 additional jobs locally.

In Dapaong, Embassy in partnership with Ajanta Pharma gifted some medicines to Centre Hospitalier Regional (CHR) in its efforts towards human-centric partnership.
