Celebration of ‘World Hindi Diwas’

Mission celebrated the first-ever ‘World Hindi Diwas’ on 10 January 2022 at Embassy premises (in hybrid mode). It was organized in association with the Indian community in Togo.

On the occasion, PM’s and EAM’s messages were read out to the audience followed by screening of the video message of MOS (ML). In his remarks, Ambassador highlighted the objective to celebrate this Day and also commended the role and contribution of the Indian community in the propagation of Hindi and in making the event a success.

The programme included cultural performances from the members/ children of Indian community. The certificates of participation and appreciation along with the monetary awards to the first two winners of the World Hindi Diwas Quiz were given away at the event.

Due to the current Covid situation, in-person participation was restricted to 30 participants on first-cum-first reservation basis. The event was also live screened on Embassy’s Facebook account.
